Mucho han cambiado las cosas desde que este gallego, coruñés para más señas, regresó del paraíso que le vio nacer como músico entre fiestas , Sol y playa. Roi volvió de su viaje y las Islas Afortunadas lo fueron un poco menos. Con el bagaje necesario,la experiencia justa y las ideas bien maceradas en la caldera del Teide, Roi volvió al lugar que le correspondía por derecho, volvió para ser profeta en su tierra y comenzó una andadura seria, sin tropiezos, paso a paso, como han de hacerse las cosas cuando paseas por tierras pantanosas, y estas lo eran. Con la escena Club aún en pañales en la piel de toro y más aún en ese rincón maravilloso que es A Coruña, Roi comenzó su periplo como profesional. Al principio clubs pequeños por todo el territorio Gallego, pronto festivales de la talla de: 981 Festival, Festival Finisterrae y visitando ciudades como Londres,Aviles,Tenerife,Ginebra o Lausanne. Integrante del Proyecto Frequencies que le ha visto desarrollarse y parte activa de Fanzine Club, a los que considera sus dos hijos, ha trabajado cada día para poner la música Gallega donde se merece, consciente de que lo mejor para él era trabajar por el desarrollo electro-musical de su tierra. Sus sets van desde el deep house , hasta la potencia sonora del apabullante Sonido Detroit y es aquí donde Roi se mueve como pez en el agua. Sesiones cargadas de ritmo y tan bien hilvanadas como la tecnología permite han hecho de sus Dj sets citas inexcusables para los que amamos la buena música. Su debut como productor ha sido reciente, estrenándose, en el sello Pong Musiq, con el EP "Cable Studio" que incluye el track que da nombre a este trabajo y "Tttf". Roi comienza así una nueva etapa como autor en la que seguro tendrá muchas cosas qué contar de una manera muy personal.

A lot has changed since the guy from Galicia, or to be more precise Coruña, returned to his birthplace, a paradise in which this musician was born among parties, sun and beaches. When Roi came back from his trip to the Canary Islands the “Islas Afortunadas” lost something precious. With the right background and the right experience and ideas, well steeped in the volcanic cauldrons of Mount Teide, Roi returned to where he rightly belongs, to be a prophet in his hometown and embark on a serious journey, carefully negotiating, step by step, as required in order to make his way through this tricky ground, and tricky ground it certainly was.
Roi started his professional journey on the club scene which was still in its infancy in Piel de Toro and even more so in this wonderful city of Coruña. At first in small clubs throughout Galicia, then on to festivals and the likes of the 981 Festival, the Finisterrae Festival as well as playing in places like London, Avilés, Tenerife, Geneva and Lausanne. As part of the Frequencies project that he has helped develop and having an active part in Club Fanzine, which are considers his two starting off points, he has worked every day so that Galician music can take the place it rightfully deserves in the music scene, knowing that the greatest thing has been working towards developing the electronic music of his homeland. His sets range from deep house to the incredible powerful sounds of Detroit, which Roi takes to like a duck to water. Sessions charged with rhythm and mixed together with state of the art technology, his DJ sets have become an unmissable date in the calendar for all lovers of great music. Soon Rio will be moving on to producing, slowly but surely, as the saying goes. That's when we will really see what he has to offer, but for now what we do know is that the wait will be worth it.
