SPRING CITY RETURNS WITH L.A.B, THE AVALANCHES (DJ SET), THE TEMPER TRAP, JOY (ANONYMOUS), FOLEY and more After a hugely successful debut at Auckland Domain in 2023, Spring City Music Festival returns in 2023 with a headline performance from one New Zealand’s biggest selling bands of recent times L.A.B. Also joining the spring celebration are Australian hitmakers THE AVALANCHES (DJ SET), indie rock legends THE TEMPER TRAP, with British disco house maestros JOY (ANONYMOUS) tasked with closing out the Spring City stage. Kiwi locals rounding off the day include pop duo FOLEY, three piece electro-house act HOTEL TROPIC, Auckland DJ and Producer MISSB and the new George FM Night host BECCIE B. New Zealand powerhouse L.A.B are set to make a triumphant return to the Auckland stage after a two year hiatus from the city of sails. This highly anticipated event marks L.A.B's first Auckland headline show since their impressive sell-out performances at Mt Smart and Western Springs. Fresh off a successful and sold-out tour across the United States, L.A.B is gearing up to deliver an unforgettable performance in anticipation of their upcoming studio album, "LAB VI." Fans can expect a dynamic and electrifying showcase of the band's signature sound and captivating stage presence. The excitement doesn't end there, as L.A.B will also be treating their loyal fans to an exclusive premiere of a brand-new single at Spring City. There are few living musicians as influential and wholly original as world-renowned recording artists, producers and DJs, THE AVALANCHES. Their debut album ‘Since I Left You', released in 2000, laid the blueprint for the future of sample-based music in the 21st century. As DJs, they have performed at their own infamous monthly club night ‘Brains', to the main stage at some of the biggest festivals in the world including Splendour In The Grass, Fuji Rock, Primavera Sound, Glastonbury, Coachella and Creamfields. Award winning indie rock band TEMPER TRAP will also be making their return to New Zealand. Spring City revellers will be singing along to global hits “Fader”, “Love Lost and of course “Sweet Disposition”,”. With 5x Platinum sales in Australia, 3x Platinum sales in the UK (1 million+ sales), and Platinum sales in the United States (1 million+ sales), the single has, to date, clocked up more than 500 million streams on Spotify alone. Closing the night at the Auckland Domain will be UK producers JOY (ANONYMOUS). Their electric run of the past 2 years shows no signs of stopping, churning out hit after hit from their critically acclaimed 2021 album ‘Human Again’ to 2023’s feel-good anthem “JOY (God Only Knows)”. From touring the world with Fred Again…, DJing afterparties at 4AM with Skrillex, it’s now Auckland’s turn to experience Joy (Anonymous). And for those that can’t get enough, the party heads to Spring City Club Mode, with a special Joy (Anonymous) DJ Set at the official after party at Studio.
