About this concert
It’s time to get back in the saddle as Caitlin Harnett and The Pony Boys ride out for a month-long tour in November. It’s all in support of their upcoming second album “All Night Long”, which is released in October through Spunk Records. This follows on from their acclaimed debut “Late Night Essentials”, which was FBi Radio and 2SER’s Album of the Week. Constant touring and multiple Festival appearances saw them named Best Live Act in NSW at the National Live Music Awards. They’ll be taking their brand of Inner-Western Americana to shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide plus some regional dates in NSW and Victoria. They’ll have you laughing, crying, singing, dancing and drinking, which is exactly what they’ll be doing on stage. It’s time to join the New Saddle Club and see why so many people wonder how they managed their dull existence without Caitlin Harnett and The Pony Boys in their lives. Giddy Up!Presented by Lonely Lands Agency

Caitlin Harnett Biography

Caitlin Harnett hails from Sydney, Australia but her songs evoke Laurel Canyon of the early 1970s. They share the personal and poetic nature of Joni Mitchell and Jackson Browne's early songs, combined with the fragility of Judee Sill, youthful in their outlook but with age-old concerns at their core. Combined with her guitar, banjo and harmonica, her songs have the lilt of folk, a touch of pop and the honesty of Americana.Caitlin is one of the youngest signings to Mushroom Music Publishing, Australias largest independent music publisher. She has been recognised both internationally and locally for her songwriting.
September 2013 saw Caitlin head to Ottawa, Canada to record her debut full length record 'The River Runs North' with producer Dave Draves (Kathleen Edwards, Howe Gelb), Jim Bryson and a group of Ottawa based musicians. The record is scheduled for release in May 2014.
What started as a 2 week recording project has led to a 3 month adventure, which saw her touring from the East coast of Canada to the West. In between she found time for shows in Boston and the Rockwood Music Hall in New York.

With her new record in tow Caitlin has been invited to Showcase at the 2014 NXNE Music Festival in Toronto, Canada. She will be playing a selection of shows whilst in Canada to support the release of the new record. In September 2012 Caitlin was invited to Showcase at the Americana Music Festival in Nashville. In Australia she has performed in many venues around the country and is a regular on the Festival circuit.

Tracks from Caitlin's previous releases have featured on Australian Primetime television and the compilations from Brite Revolution 'Americana Song Sampler 2012' and ABC Australia's 'Best of Blues and Roots 2012'.
