Dimanche 26 mai 2024 – 16h00 Espace André Lejeune La Strada Saviez-vous que Nino Rota, compositeur fétiche des B.O. de Fellini avait été compositeur d’opéras ?Le programme du concert invite à découvrir les deux aspects de la musique de Nino Rota, à savoir la musique savante et la musique de film. Le compositeur laisse à la postérité près de 170 musiques de films et reste associé à jamais au cinéma de Fellini pour qui il a signé notamment la musique de La Strada, et celle de du Guépard de Visconti. Mais Il s’est fait connaître aussi par sa musique instrumentale, de chambre, symphoniquelyrique !

La Strada Biography
La Strada is the name of at least four different groups:
1) Serbian new wave rock band from Novi Sad. Creative half of the band Luna Slobodan Tisma and Mina Mitrusic changed the name of a band. The band released one album (self titled) but made a significant influence in Serbian music.
2) A Brooklyn, NYC-based seven piece band, recently named one of the "8 NYC Bands You Need to Hear" by L Magazine. From their Myspace: 'La Strada is the romance of old-world instrumentation through new world amplification. With soaring vocal harmonies, accordion, and string driven melodies set to rock rhythms, La Strada transports you to the hills of the Balkans, a street corner in Paris, and back to “your window overlooking the Brooklyn skyline”'.
3) Limburg hardcore band hailing over different "cité's" in Genk. They combine various styles like old school, beatdown and streetpunk into their music. in 2007 they released their first demo cité core.
4) A Finnish group of brasses and horns with normal band instruments. They do covers versioned by means of jazz and beatnik.
