Praised for both its elasticity and concision, New River, as a unit, explores idiosyncratic approaches to improvisation and structure through Charlies original music, which draws deep inspiration on his love for the outdoors, puzzles and logic, and musical traditions spanning from Tom Waits to John Coltrane to Ryoji Ikeda. Charlie is joined by bassist Aidan Taylor, of West Palm Beach, Florida; and Koleby Royston, of Montclair, New Jersey.
