The Great Heights Band Biography
TGHB started as a passion project by singer / guitarist Neal Karkhanis and drummer Paul Martinez. After recording two songs and posting them online, the band's deal with Pennsylvania based CI Records (August Burns Red, The Pink Spiderpopularity grew quickly, and soon after, the band added pianist / singer Linette Gonzalez and bassist Owen Brinser. Within a few months, the band was offered a records, Carousel Kings) to release TGHB's debut full length album "Songs in Eastern Standard Timing" (SIEST).
The band recorded the album in four different studios as west as San Francisco, California and as east as Baltimore, Maryland. In April 2015, TGHB asked producer / guitarist / singer Eric Taft to join the band to round out the quintet. In a short time, TGHB has toured the USA multiple times, released its debut album in October 2015 and has played numerous large festivals, sharing the stage with many popular musicians. In the summer of 2016, Gonzalez left TGHB citing creative differences. The band has continued on as a 4 piece, currently touring in support of SIEST and writing LP2.

"Annoyingly catchy... highly polished debut...a solid ear for hooks." - Baltimore City Paper
"It’s hard to believe that the Baltimore natives have only been working together for a little over a year as The Great Heights Band truly lives up to its name on the band’s debut full length. Songs In Eastern Standard Timing is a soaring example of fun, funky, and vintage pop melodies, with clear indications that there is nowhere for this band to go but up. 8/10."
