Rachel Rose Biography

Rachel Rose, a Connecticut-born, Austin-launched, and Brooklyn-based folk singer/songwriter, has crafted a rich, nostalgic sound that incorporates elements of soul, blues, folk, and pop. Rachel draws influence from the likes of Joni Mitchell, Joan Baez, Linda Ronstadt, Janis Joplin, Amy Winehouse, Lianne La Havas, and Alanis Morisette. Having firmly established herself as a vocalist, Rachel began songwriting in 2020, releasing her debut EP 100/10/1. She plans to release three upcoming EPs, with the first launch scheduled for January 2023. Rachel has continued to write and cultivate songs that are vulnerable and true to her atypical journey as a songwriter and impeccable vocalist. Rachel has performed at notable venues such as Baby's All Right, Rockwood Music Hall, and Nublu, and was one of three selected songwriters to open the Hootennany Sessions at Cafe Wha? after a nearly 50-year hiatus.
