On stage she doesn’t just transform, she almost seems possessed. Delivering her existential poetry over layers of loops of vocal harmonies, breath and flute, she fuses them together with her keys and bass guitar, conjuring up a world that is uniquely her own.James Seedy’s music and performance are described to be “Like a Townes Van Zandt residency at Berghain. Melbourne-based musician, producer, and latex cowboy - James Seedy plays both kinds of music Country and Techno.”A project 5 years in the making, Adored is the opus of long time Melbourne/Naarm based collaborators Alana Wilson (of Elizabeth, Georgia Maq) and Charlene Van Ravenstein (of TillyVW), Adored infuses driving post-punk with the smoky lyricism and dreamy electronic soundscapes of modern dark pop. Both poignant and cryptic in its themes, Adored never shies from the shadows. A celebration of the dark feminine, the music treads a fine between hazy escapism and animalistic passion.
