This week, the Atlanta Symphony orchestra welcomes two Grammy Aware-winning artists. Canadian-American conductor Peter Oundjian conducts Rimsky-Korsakov's high-octane Spanish Romp, Capriccio espagnol - a true showpiece for this virtuoso orchestra. Joshua Bell, one of the most celebrated violinists of his generation, performs the rousing Violin Concerto No. 1 by Max Bruch. In a recent performance of the Bruch, Bachhtrack wrote: "Bell Drew from his instrument the freshest, most inevitable tones, flowing like liquid silver under a touch that was vibrant but delicately restrained." Oundjian also leads the Orchestra in the beloved symphonic poem The Moldau by Bedrich Smetana.
