Veteran San Diego, California punk rock band Unwritten Law emerged in the early '90s with a style rooted in classic punk and melodic hardcore. With a history of lineup changes, this incarnation of the band have been steady since 2014.“It almost feels like a new band” says long time singer Scott Russo.If there was one word to describe this latest endeavor, it would be; serendipitous. Everything that lead up to the bands 7th studio release The Hum seems to have been written in the stars. “We were supposed to hand the record in the month the pandemic hit and it just wasn’t there.” says Russo. “The label was like, we don’t want to put it out till you can tour so…we took an extra year to make sure we had it, and we did”.With almost a decade alongside brother and bassist Jonny Grill, founding drummer Wade Youman, and guitarists Chris Lewis and Scotty Mac, the band has never been stronger. With their latest release “The Hum”, the band has brought forth a conceptual work that rings loudly in todays oversaturated music space.

Cailin Russo Biography
Cailin Russo is a multi-hyphenate artist whose creative output is currently focused on music. Her forthcoming album Influx (2022) has been her sole pursuit of the last two years, with intermissions taken to work with Kanye West and walk in fashion shows. Known for her avant-garde lyricism and production, innate sonic taste and evocative style, Cailin’s subtle yet hypnotic presence is as potent online as IRL, with a loyal fan base since her modelling days and a digital network of over 2 million.
Growing up in San Diego, Cailin’s early musical inspirations stemmed from an eclectic mix of genres including pop punk, rap, and jazz, with lifelong touchstones coming in the form of iconic female musicians Amy Winehouse and Gwen Stefani. Russo cites James Blake, FKA twigs and Kanye West as her current favourites, with the latter personally asking Cailin to assist in the production of his last album Donda. Cailin went on to be nominated for a Grammy by the Recording Academy for her work on West’s track ‘Hurricane’.
On the opening track of her new album INFLUX, Cailin Russo muses ‘In the back of my mind there’s a white hearse or a limousine.’ The breathy, distorted statement is repeated, reverberating before shattering into a sexy R&B dreamscape sliced by the line ‘all I feel is everything’. Cailin Russo is an artist who embodies and expresses the conflicts and complexities of the multiple truths that coexist within our modern identity - the everything - living in the fantasia of her own manifestation, the white hearse and the limousine.
Aside from her musical career, Cailin is a staple face and presence in the LA creative scene, with modelling gigs for it-girl brands I AM GIA and Skims, Helmut Lang and Rodrarte, handpicked for the front row of shows at New York and Paris fashion weeks, and seen as both a cultural mainstay and innovator who stands the test of both time and trend. Having graced the covers of Galore, Wonderland and Roller Coaster and received rave reviews from Billboard, Rolling Stone, and MTV, Cailin is stepping into an era of sharply contemporary sound, carving out her own space in the pop world.
