Show your support of Daniel Pearl* Music Day, the legacy of his life and work, for tolerance and understanding through music and words on October 21st at the Lyric Theatre (135 College Ave, Blacksburg, VA 24060) Sponsored By: Hillel at Virginia Tech, Jewish Student Union, Friends of Israel, Ask Big Questions, Jewish Business Leaders, Peer Network Engagement, Save the Next Girl, and Zeta Beta Tau. Doors open at 6:30 PM The concert starts at 7:00 PM In order to receive your student price, you must show your student ID card at the door. *Daniel Pearl was a Jewish journalist and musician who was kidnapped and murdered in Pakistan in 2002. As he traveled around the world, he was able to connect with people all over through their shared love of music. Each year, we honor his memory by putting on a series of international concerts that use the universal language of music to encourage people of all backgrounds to set aside their differences and come together to work towards a more humane world.
