Heroes Biography

Pop quintet, Heroes, began in 2008 under the original title, Heroes on Parade, in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The band came to fruition in the Midwest, Alternative scene after project founder and producer, Mike Zanger, discovered the YouTube channel of Heroes' mighty vocalist, Jenny Ondreyka. The channel exposed Heroes' early content and releases to 13,000+ subscribers - reaching 2+ million views in the span 4 years. As early adopters of original digital and social media content, Heroes' first, self-titled EP attracted the attention of festival owner, Kevin Lyman. The band played the Kevin Says Stage at the the Vans Warped Tour 2009 -- one month following their high school graduation. After touring (regionally) and promoting their debut, 'Angel?' (formerly known as, 'Where Are We?') the band was scouted by Detroit concert promoter, Chad Verwey (The Intersection, ex-LiveNation) to perform at Comerica Park for the Vans Warped Tour again in 2011. In 2012, Heroes announced an indefinite hiatus to pursue undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of Michigan, Eastern Michigan University and Boston University. Fast forward to 2016, Mike & Bryan moved to Los Angeles, California to co-write and demo new material with the band remotely - separated by 2,000 mi. of American soil. March 18, 2016, Heroes will pick up where they left off with the deluxe reissue of their debut, "Angel". Jam our debut record on #Spotify: http://smarturl.it/Herofy
