UPDATE: AlohaIm trying to describe the level of pain for Lahaina. This is my home. So many memories in that town. Growing up surfing at Puamana, getting Hawaiian lunch at Nagasako deli, dancing to Uncle Willie K at Kimos, climbing on the banyan tree as a kid, busking on front street.. the list goes on. My friends have lost homes, jobs, and businesses. Waves of sadness come over me everyday since this disaster. I cant comprehend it. Rest in aloha to all the beautiful lives lost to this fire. Its all so sad.But.. our aloha is strong. Maui is strong. we not pau.I can only hope to bring a lil good feeling from where I am in Seattle. Were gonna show our love from the emerald city loud & clear!!***This coming Wednesday, August 16th.. Im playing The Tractor Tavern @tractortavern as a benefit show for all the Lahaina fire victims. All the funds we make this night will be sent back home to the Maui Strong Fund to help out. Im gonna make the biggest noise Ive ever made. Make sure Maui can hear us!Therell be joy, therell be tears.This one is for Lahaina.My island town.Drew Martin is a songwriter from Maui, Hawaii.
