Controlling 20,000+ concertgoers and having them hanging on your every move is just another day in the life for Jonathan Garcia, known to most as DJ Obscene. Growing up in one of the biggest cultural melting pots in the U.S., this Miami native has been making his mark on the industry from a young age, playing an instrumental role in the early careers of superstars like Pitbull, Flo Rida and Rick Ross in the mid 2000’s. His ability to bridge the gap between all genres of music and know exactly what a given crowd wants, has allowed Obscene to travel the world countless times, having played in over 70 cities spanning 10 different countries since 2012. He has remixed records for the likes of Janet Jackson, Diplo & Nicky Jam and has played alongside stars such as Calvin Harris & Steve Aoki in some of the biggest clubs in the U.S. In 2022, he currently holds residencies at E11EVEN & DAER Dayclub+Nightclub, which are some of the premiere venues in South Florida, as well as regular stints in Boston, Chicago & Las Vegas as well.

Becoming one of the most sought after record selectors in the world is a lofty goal for anyone, but Obscene’s unique skill to satisfy people from all walks of life, combined with his expansive knowledge of music, has led to countless brand partnerships and memorable experiences for those in attendance. High profile clients from the likes of Bacardi, DirecTV, Facebook, Ford & iHeartRadio to name a few, have all trusted Obscene with setting the mood at many events over the years and continue to do so, as the level of talent is rarely duplicated. From appearances on VH1 & the CW, to private events in the South of France and the T-Mobile Arena in Vegas, Obscene always has the bases covered and is ready to shine in front of any crowd, regardless of size.

When he’s not entertaining the masses in person, he’s reaching them in their cars & at the gym via his podcast: Obscene Radio. In his free time, Obscene enjoys yoga, basketball, boxing, volunteering and hanging with his dog, Butters. His passion for music has always been the driving force behind his success and that continues to ring true in 2024, with his eyes set on developing new music projects and events in his hometown of Miami.
