Located at 416 Sibley in the eternal twilight of hardscrabble big-hearted Hammond, Indiana, the Paul Henry Gallery remains one of a kind, the old school hardware store that yearns to be the incubator of the lively arts in NWI. Owner and curator of corn Dave Mueller enjoys (assumption) turning Spoo Willoughby and his coven of abettors loose every year or so to rattle the rafters. This time we will put the new roof through the acid test, although we promise to halt in the event any debris shakes loose and precipitates down upon the assembled. To break up the monotony of too much Spoo, we've called in a couple of Paul Henry alumni to throw down the goods: long-time favorites Lou Shields and Rich Krueger, M.D., but who knows who else may turn up and let loose. EDIT:As we approach the date for the Corn Boil, the set list as announced will also include Jay Sebastian, Dennis Leise, Jeremy Jacobsen (The Lonesome Organist) and Robin Bienemann. Admission will be $20, but includes all the hot buttery corn you can feasibly engorge yourselves and waddle out the door with. I will personally embarrass all attendees with lavish expressions of sentiment and gratitude.
