Acoustic Moose Biography
Acoustic Moose is a south-central PA duo/trio featuring Linda Null on vocals and Tim Geisweit on acoustic guitar. The Moose plays folk rock, blues, country, and classic rock.
Take a woman with a voice reminiscent of Etta James combined with Janis Joplin, who brings emotion and passion into every note she sings, add an accomplished guitar player whose style of playing is influenced by blues, folk, country, and classical, allowing him to create a dynamic range of sound, and you have Acoustic Moose. This duo has played all over south central PA, MD, and VA, typically at wineries, breweries, restaurants, riverboats, and college campuses.
When venues want something more, Acoustic Moose adds a percussionist to become Acoustic Moose and Squirrel. 14 year-old Marty Andrews, or Squirrel as his fans call him, is a WFL III Drums endorsed artist, as well as a Sabian affiliate artist. Performing as Acoustic Moose and Squirrel, Linda picks up the bass to provide a trio of entertainment. When Marty can’t make it, or when we need less than a full drum kit, Todd Atkins joins us on Cajon. Todd is a drummer/percussionist from MD who received his degree in music, and who studied drums with jazz drummer Bill Reichenbach. Todd, Linda, and Tim also play in Blue Moose, the electric version of Acoustic Moose, along with Chris Kuhns on lead guitar.
This band covers many different genres, including classic rock, folk, country, pop, and blues. When you want to party, party with The Moose!
