Renowned for his magnetic live performances and ‘direct-from-the-heart’ songs, #1 UK chart artist Luke Concannon has something special. The crowd sang and danced during his previous performance at this venue during the 2019 Belmont Porchfest. Now performing with his wife, the classically trained singer Stephanie Hollenberg, the duo present an afternoon of musical passion and audience participation that will live long in the memory.
Bring a blanket, folding chair, picnic and drinks for this lovely outdoor concert. Arrive early for corn hole and horseshoes. Children welcome!
Parking: The concert venue is at the end of a street with limited parking. Several parking options are within a 5-10 minute walk: free street parking along Trapelo Road and in the Beaver Brook Reservation parking lot and metered parking in Waverly Square. Public Transit: The MBTA serves Waverley Square (5-10 min walk) via the Fitchberg Commuter Rail and Bus 73 from Harvard Square.

Luke Concannon Biography

Luke Concannon has early memories of falling asleep at Irish family parties to the sound of guitars, singing, and dancing. Upon meeting double-bassist John Parker in school, the two formed the folk duo Nizlopi (best known for the “JCB Song”) selling a million records in their twenties and deeply influencing a young Ed Sheeran.
Through the strain of recording and touring world-wide with a small family-run label, Nizlopi parted ways. Invigorated by a hitch-hiking trip to Palestine, Luke wrote his first solo album, Give it all, kindling the fire for a solo singer song writer career. EP In the Sea followed, with single releases including “Join the Liberation.” Luke followed his love, singer Stephanie Hollenberg, to the United States and they married in 2019.
Ecstatic Bird in the Burning, Luke’s new album, is a mesmerizingly honest collection of songs. Part love letter, part poem, part call-to-action, it explores the ecstasy of being alive, even (perhaps especially now) in a burning world.
Luke now resides on Abenaki land in Vermont with his wife Stephanie, wonderful neighbors, and fifteen chickens.
