About this concert
Hot on the heels of his most successful solo tour ever, Steve Hackett announced his Steve Hackett Genesis Revisited – Foxtrot at Fifty + Hackett Highlights tour. The tour marks the 50th anniversary of the legendary Genesis album Foxtrot which, in 1972, was pivotal in establishing the band as a major force in British rock. Guitarist Steve Hackett joined Genesis in 1971, making his band debut on the Nursery Cryme album which enjoyed a greater commercial success in Europe than the UK. After extensive touring, the band were encouraged, by audience reactions, to further experiment with ever longer compositions and develop their ability to incorporate strong narratives. This, in turn, allowed frontman Peter Gabriel more opportunity to indulge in the theatrics which helped to raise the band’s profile. Now, for 2023, Steve brings Foxtrot at Fifty to North America for a string of eagerly awaited dates following the huge selling UK 2022 tour. “I think Foxtrot was a terrific achievement for Genesis at that time,” says Steve Hackett. “I think there is not one weak track on the album, they all have their strong points and I’m really looking forward to doing the whole album live.”

A fabulous show, made all the better with the inclusion of Amanda Lehmann on vocals and guitar. Her vocals on 'Shadow of the Heirophant was magnificent. Had Sylvan on the main vocals was brilliant as always.
Crystal clear sound and an imaginative light show added to the evening's enjoyment.
After the now customary solo Hackett material (new and old) in part one, the 2nd half kicked off with NINE tracks from the complex (and still controversial to some) 'The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway' album.
What is also great about seeing a Steve Hackett gig is that he loves to make sure that all of the band take the spotlight and there is no doubt that they all love working together.
He doesn't seem to show any signs of slowing down and hopefully there will be another UK Tour in 2025.

Steve Hackett Biography
Steve Hackett was a member of Genesis from 1971 till 1977, when he left the band to pursue his solo career full time. He had released his first solo album, Voyage of the Acolyte, in 1975 while still with Genesis, and has maintained a steady output since. He is a distinctive and versatile guitarist who also performs classical concerts and has released five classical albums in addition to many rock, progressive, and blues albums. He participated in the 1986 formation of GTR with Steve Howe
His concerts feature many songs from his days with Genesis, among them Firth of Fifth, Hairless Heart, Blood on the Rooftops, Fly on a Windshield, Horizons and Los Endos, while exploring his extensive catalogue of solo recordings. Tours alternate between acoustic performances (often accompanied by Steve's brother John Hackett (flute) and Roger King (keyboards) as the Steve Hackett Acoustic Trio) and more rock-oriented performances.
