About this concert
Quintron and Miss Pussycat have been making genre-defying noise and hard rocking dance music in New Orleans for over fifteen years. The majority of their 14 full-length albums have the psychedelic soul of traditional New Orleans party music filtered through a tough distorted Hammond B-3 and a cache of self- made electronic instruments.
The Quintron / Miss Pussycat experience is one of barely controlled electronic chaos, “Swamp-Tech” dance beats, small explosions, incredible clothes, and entertaining puppet stories. You can see them perform regularly at the Spellcaster Lodge in New Orleans, Louisiana or on one of their many tours around the world. This act somehow has equal relevance in sleazy nightclubs, pizza restaurants, and university lecture halls.

Jarvix (he/any) is a live-looping singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Oklahoma City. Influenced by eccentrics like David Byrne, Beck, and Everything Everything, he makes every performance unique by expanding beyond his original material to include crowdsourced improvisations. He has opened for acts like Tune-yards, That 1 Guy, and Trout Fishing in America, though his style has also invoked comparisons to Sufjan Stevens and Dan Deacon.

Jarvix Biography
Since picking up the ukulele in 2011 and cutting his teeth on live performances in 2014, Jarvix has become one of Oklahoma City's premier solo artists known for his multi-instrumentalist looping pedal arrangements and fun stage shows. This has since led to him opening for acts such as Tune-yards, That 1 Guy, and Trout Fishing in America.
His reputation for weirdness owes much to eccentric influences like David Byrne, Beck, Dan Deacon, and the aforementioned Tune-yards. He has also been compared to the likes of Sufjan Stevens and Gary Jules, however, so there is more to his music than you might at first think. His catalogue tends to be varied and adventurous.
Jarvix believes that music is one of life's great gifts that has the power to unite and inspire the world. If his small part in it can help create a more positive, more accepting, and weirder community, well, shucks, he'll be happy as a clam.
