Alex Maes & The Connection: a group of musical assassins from around the world fabricating an R&B, Neo-Soul, and Jazz sonic experience that tantalizes the listeners leaving them craving more. Established in 2019 at Berklee College of Music, this 4-5 piece band has been performing Alex’ originals around Boston and the Northeast. With a sound similar to Hiatus Kaiyote, Jordan Rakei, and Lianne La Havas, Alex Maes & The Connection threads captivating metaphors with infectious grooves to orchestrate a unique sound unlike any other. Alex Maes & The Connection have graced stages including Rockwood Music Hall, The Narrows, and Boston City Plaza, and have won awards such as Songs for Social Change for their lyrics and intricate arrangements. With each new performance they have generated a powerful impact, turning heads and drawing new fans to be a part of The Connection.
