DISCOGRAPHY
2022 - SWIM (SINGLE)
"Swim" is an acoustic pop track blending intricate lyrics with a simple acoustic guitar.
2022 | LIVE ON SATURDAY NIGHT - UNCUT (EP)
"Live on Saturday Night, Uncut" is an EP featuring 4 songs performed live. Joined by the "Ragged Impressarios" on the first three tracks, the last is a solo acoustic performance. No edits to the performances were done. To help obtain a vintage sound, the drums were mic'd using the Glyn Johns technique. When asked, "Why a live record?" Sean's reply was, "The band nailed it. Why not? Plus, I had that recording of 'Sunday Morning'..."
2016 | IF YOU’VE GOT THE TIME (SINGLE)
The long-awaited follow-up single to Sean's previous EP, "Everything Has Past", blends fresh, pop-rock vocals with a driving back-beat in this guitar-laden track.
After a slightly extended hiatus, Sean has released his latest single - "If You've Got The Time". A fresh, guitar-laden, driving, pop-rock track that combines Sean's smooth vocals while painting a picture with every lyric. The track continues to follow the footprint of Sean's previous EP, "Everything Has Past".
Self-produced and mixed, the track was mastered by Ryan Smith at Sterling Sound, New York, NY.
2010 | EVERYTHING HAS PAST (EP)
Sean McCarthy's EP "Everything Has Past", recorded in Los Angeles, California, was produced by Steve Bertrand The line-up of musicians and talent involved in the making of this record include:
Steve Bertrand (The Tories, Avion), Kenny Aronoff (best known as John Mellencamp’s drummer, more @ www.kennyaronoff.com), Chris Chaney (Jane’s Addiction, Alanis Morrisette), Sean Woolstenhulme (The Calling, Lifehouse), Scott Simons (LA-based Solo Artist), James “Jimbo” Barton (Producer @ Lippman Entertainment - http://www.lippman-ent.com/producerroster.html), Tom Baker (Mastering Engineer @ Precision Mastering – www.precisionmastering.com)
Bertrand states of the new release, "Snow Patrol meets Kings Of Leon......the best recorded version of Sean McCarthy to date."
2013 | JULY (EP)
“July” is a collection of three songs highlighting this artist’s versatility. The CD’s co-producer, Todd Bowie, has worked with The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac & most recently, Beck among many other artists.
2000 | GOODBYE (Alternate Version) [feat. Mike Mercier & Gary Vinny Fuoco] (SINGLE)
Produced, Recorded and Mixed by Andre’ Maquera @ West Street Digital, St. Albans, VT
1995 | FLANNEL BANDANNA (EP)
This EP was recorded over a three day period in late 1995. Borrowed recording equipment turned the "house on the hill" in northern New Hampshire, into a makeshift studio. Three of the songs were also written during that time. Dirty guitar strings, cigarettes and late nights contributed to the final outcome.
A fresh version of "Sympathy" appears on the more current "Everything Has Past" EP with a bit of a different flair which was created by producer Steve Bertrand (The Tories, Avion) and guitarist Sean Woolstenhulme (The Calling, Lifehouse).
