After spending his early years playing guitar in rock bands, he discovered a passion for hip hop when battle rapping on the bus to his high school football games. Feeling largely uninspired by the invasive tech industry and the ceiling that seemingly existed for all of his music colleagues, he uprooted and moved to Los Angeles with intentions to grow as an artist and human. Upon arrival Stevie was met with much of the same disappointment, as his Los Angeles colleagues shared the same disheartened attitude, and a false notion of competition that seemed to be the root of this defeatist energy he couldn’t escape. What followed next was a period of isolation and reflection. In solitude he discovered belief in self, freedom in thought, and unwavering love for his fellow human beings. This period of solitude gave birth to the identity Stevie Ray, a return to his government name, and a commitment to his core beliefs of generosity, discipline, and compassion. Drawing inspiration from artists like J. Cole, Big K.R.I.T., Kanye West, Mac Miller, and Joey Bada$$ the result was FREE, the official debut of Stevie Ray. DJ Abilities DJ Abilities had first met Micheal “Eyedea” Larsen in the mid-90’s, and the two soon began a working relationship that would eventually play a prominent role in the burgeoning Indie-Rap movement of the time. Together, the pair developed a near symbiotic creative union that produced three albums—First Born; E&A; and By The Throat—a catalog animated by the burning fusion of Eyedea’s introspective and technically adept rhymes with Abilities’ precise scratches and versatile production. Tragically, his partner Eyedea passed away in 2010 leaving Abilities to soldier on by himself, but the influence of their partnership continues to shape DJ Abilities’ music to this day. His latest project, Phonograph Phoenix, finds the DJ/Producer returning to the forefront and embracing an entirely new approach to making music. A departure from previous work that was primarily sample-based, Phonograph Phoenix finds Abilities opting to build the album’s compositions from the ground up, creating his own sound through Ableton Live and enveloping synths, with razor sharp cuts and select vocal chops providing a voice where his fallen partner may have once stood. Abilities’ new production techniques breathe an awakening essence into Phonograph Phoenix, whether that’s in the deep, cavernous bass and funky drum loops of “Worldwide”, the gorgeous atmospheric synths he conjures on “Waves”, or the sinister head-nodding groove of “The Badman” with its vulnerable-but-not-self-pitying vocal samples. Throughout its creation, Abilities sought to remain as truthful as possible, ensuring that each song held qualifying meaning and that the album on a whole made a definitive statement. The process inspired Abilities to dig deep and pull up some heavy, heartfelt beats and, speaking with his hands as all great turntablists do, he used this space to address grief, loss, and his own personal shortcomings, all while making room for hope and optimism. Nex Millen Don’t call Nex Millen a DJ. At least...not unless you mention in the same breath that he is also a savvy MC, an accomplished music producer, as well as a conversant scholar of Hip Hop. Although he is a redoubtable opponent in any scratch battle and has an allegiant following at his DJ residencies, there is much more to Nex Millen than his adept skills behind the decks. His career spans over two decades and encompasses every aspect of the music industry from artist development, merchandising, marketing, producing and mixing to performing. With roots firmly planted in Philadelphia, he cultivated a Hip Hop Culture Program for inner city teens at the Fellowship Farm in 2006. In 2012, he began teaching DJing and Modern Music Theory at The Boom Room Studios in Philly. After relocating to Asheville, North Carolina, in 2015, he partnered with LEAF Community Arts and became an appreciated addition to their ONEmic studio and EMErgence (Electonic Music Education) programs. In this capacity, his passion for teaching Hip Hop culture and its relevance to daily life is passed on to the youth who need it most Numinous the Bard Bardic Rapper. With a wide range of influences from Billie Holiday and Ms. Lauryn Hill to Regina Spektor, KRS-One and Rage Against The Machine, her music dances the lines between jazz, hip hop, R&B, neosoul, indie pop and singer-songwriter. Stevie Ray Biography

Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Stevie Ray discovered music at an early age as the son of a musician.

Upon arrival Stevie was met with much of the same disappointment, as his Los Angeles colleagues shared the same defeatist energy he couldn’t escape.

This period of solitude gave birth to the identity Stevie Ray, a return to his birth name, and a commitment to his core beliefs of generosity, discipline, and compassion.

Upon discovery, Stevie reunited with Andre Paxton, one of his first rock bandmates, to develop this philosophical landscape into a sonic playground. Drawing inspiration from artists like J. Cole, Big K.R.I.T., Kanye West, Mac Miller, and Joey Bada$$ the result was Free, the official debut of Stevie Ray.
