Têtes de Pois

Têtes de Pois Têtes de Pois is a 7 piece jazz fusion outfit formed at the Leeds Conservatoire in 2016. They have extensively toured the UK and released the debut EP Framework in 2018. With a basis in jazz, the band has historically been inspired by global genres and created danceable improvised music. They have been played on BBC radios 2,3,4 & 6, won a Help Musicians Development Award and appeared at festivals including Love Supreme, Shambala, We Out Here and Greenman. After a brief hiatus Têtes de Pois emerge from the bunker, the band has sculpted a new sound featuring more vocal led tunes and new influences, expect all of the open-ended improvisation but now paired with vocal song writing and electronic influences. A new vision has been born and carefully nurtured. Nauta Nauta are a jazz band from the North East who blend traditional and contemporary material together in a fashionable way. They met as students at Newcastle University and have gone on to play gigs in venues such as Cobalt Studios, The Vermont Hotel, Royal Station Hotel and The Great North Museum to name a few. They have been house trio for The Black Swan jam session, as well as being invited to play Hexham Jazz Festival 2022. Frequently reported upon both individually and as a group by national media - as they're graduating expect to see a lot more.
