Cavale Biography
Cavale is the indie electronic project of Sarah Mount.
Sarah grew up between Walworth, NY and Amherst, OH before heading to Boston, MA to attend Berklee College of Music. During her time in Boston, she joined folk/americana group Tumbleweed Company, while simultaneously working on solo material. She left Tumbleweed Company to focus on a solo career but not before recording the majority of her debut EP with the band at The Record Company with producer Andrew Sarlo.
In 2012, Sarah was accepted to attend Berklee Valencia's inaugural Graduate program in Valencia, Spain. The singer/songwriter released her evocative solo EP entitled This Quiet Rage in May 2013 accompanied by Masters Performance students from around the world. Shortly after, she graduated with her Masters in Contemporary Vocal Performance and moved to Brooklyn, NY.
In 2016, she adopted the name Cavale (inspired by the artist Patti Smith) and began working with Brooklyn based producer, Kindergartner. Unlike her earlier indie folk debut, Cavale presents a more self-possessed electro synth pop sound, centered around a sensual yet dynamic vocal. Calve continues to play around New York City and will release more singles this year along with her Instant Love track “You Really Got Me.”
