BBC Introducing In Essex is a radio programme showcasing the best unsigned, undiscovered and under-the-radar Essex music, broadcasting every Saturday night between 8-10pm on BBC Essex! As part of the live music scene reopening after the pandemic, the show wanted to be part of all that!
So between October-January, BBC Introducing In Essex is teaming up with some of the best music venues in the county to put on 4 gigs with some amazing undiscovered artists.
Coming to Colchester Arts Centre in October, Phoebe Austin, Josh Tenor & Sam Eagle; all artists discovered through BBC Introducing, will be performing on Thursday 7th October 2021 to an excited crowd!

Josh Tenor Biography
Inspired by the sound of The Soulquarians' hip-hop and neo soul, as well as legendary jazz icons like Robert Glasper, Josh Tenor presents to us an neo jazz-soul sound as a singer, songwriter and producer, being apart of London's ever growing jazz-influenced scene.
Growing up in a family of 6 in Homerton, South Hackney, Josh always had a love for music - singing in church from an early age. By 11, he learned how to play the piano and 7 more instruments thereafter, playing as a pianist and a jazz trombonist in his local youth jazz ensemble in his secondary school years. It was then that he started to compose his own music. Being introduced to artists like D'Angelo and Tom Misch he began his journey to create a type of music with soul and meaning - transcribing his life experiences from diary entries to songs and pieces
