Juno What?! Biography
Juno What?! is a shameless dance party based in the music mecca of Denver, CO. This powerhouse delivers a deeply satisfying mix of live electro-funk and high-energy disco booty jams. The band formed in 2008 as an outlet for Joey Porter's organic-meets-electronic dance compositions and since then has released three independent albums (Late Night, Shameless, and Late Night Live). Touring regularly since 2009, JW?! has shared the stage with funk luminaries The Ohio Players, Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, The Pimps of Joytime, Lettuce, and Bernie Worrell. Juno What?! audiences are treated to a band that appreciates both the classic pedigree of vintage vinyl dance cuts as well as futuristic sternum-bumping anthems. The band consists of Joey Porter (keyboards, talk box) from The Motet, Tyrone Hendrix (drums) from Stevie Wonder's touring band, Garrett Sayers (bass and synth bass), and Dan Schwindt (guitar). This core group is often augmented by special guests taken from the best of the gigging groups on the scene (including founding member Dominic Lalli of Big Gigantic). These musicians have gathered their collective talents to focus on this mission of making the world a better place…….to dance! Juno What?! is currently playing in major markets across the nation.
