Altostratus is a contemporary soul, R&B and jazz collective featuring original compositions by Hamish Thompson. Hamish (guitar, vocals), Anja (trumpet, vocals), Abi (piano), Sonali (bass), Anthony (saxophone) and Charlie (drums) each bring their own unique taste to a diverse repertoire, embracing their skillsets as improvising musicians. Expect everything from thick grooves to wistful blues.

"Progressive metal quartet Altostratus is bringing even more instrumental goodness to what is currently a thriving genre” - EVERYTHING IS NOISE
Born in 2015, the band was influenced by each members’ love for widdly guitar music. Since their inception, the band have shared stages with the likes of SKYHARBOR, Sarah Longfield, SITHU AYE, and MODERN DAY BABYLON, and their debut LP, Complete The Connection, is their most beautiful yet ferocious material yet.
Alongside the announcement of the debut album, the band have shared a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming album; titled Hosnian Prime.
