Tom Toomey Biography
Tom, lead quitarist with 2019 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductees The Zombies. started playing in 1967. His first tune ever performed on stage at the age of 13 was 'House of the Rising Sun'. Bands include - 'The Epidemic' ( first band), 'The Drill' (punk), 'Invisible Sex', 'Friends of Jack', 'Monficats' and 'Jingo Santana',
Albums include his critically acclaimed CD 'Turquoise', which was released in early 2018, 'Iron on Stone', 'Monficat', 'Gambia', 'Echo Bridge', 'Ghost of You and Me',(Colin Blunstone),
'Breathe Out Breathe In', 'Live in the UK', 'Metropolis Sessions', 'Still Got That Hunger'
and most recently- ‘A Different Game’. Many other albums as well (far too numerous to mention them all!).
Worked with live/ recording, Don McLean, Jon Anderson, Sir Cliff Richard, Leo Sayer, Paul Young, Gene Pitney, Marc Almond and of course The Zombies.
