Lonesome Ace Stringband

Described by Bluegrass Unlimited as “three powerful musicians playing some powerful music,” The Lonesome Ace Stringband is an old time trio with bluegrass chops that plays some righteous country and folk music. With trio vocals on top of fiddle, banjo and bass, the group draws the listener in with a sound that ranges from sparse fragility to a joyous bellow that sounds like a much bigger band. The members sing songs about love, loss, heroes, criminals and BBQ, love touring and discovering beautiful places and interesting people, are constantly on the lookout for great road food at decent prices (good Vietnamese soup and tasty Mexican food are some faves), and always take recommendations for interesting/hilarious new podcasts. With a love of traditional ballads, fiddle and banjo music and a keen ear for new sounds, it's clear to anyone who's heard LAS that they just don't sound like any other band.
