About this concert
Christopher and Charlie will be alternating songs, with some time for comments or conversation. The concert is free, but donations are encouraged at payal.me/christophermarkjones. Charlie Mosbrook has three decades of experience as a performer, writer, teacher and advocate in folk and roots music. He now leads Cleveland’s Folknet organization that promotes concerts and events, as well as the Folk Alliance Region Midwest (FARM) conference, an annual gathering of like-minded people. It was at the latter event that Christopher and Charlie met several years ago. Charlie mixes traditional and original folk songs with varied guitar styles and a distinctive baritone. Christopher spent 2020 recording and polishing Looking for the Light, his 6th album of original songs released in April, which climbed to #25 on the 70 position Folk Radio charts in April. CHRISTOPHER MARK JONES Biography

Singer-songwriter-guitarist from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.Christopher Mark Jones sings soulful country and blues-inflected Americana narratives in “a rich voice that’s slightly rough around the edges” (Scott Mervis, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette), but still grabs the listener along with his “fascinating lyrics” (Melody Maker, UK) and the “intricate guitar-playing” and “wide-ranging textures and exquisite instrumentation” (Larry Berger, Saturday Light Brigade) of his recordings. Listeners hear echoes of “Greg Brown's pacing and a Lyle Lovett attitude” (Ben Shannon), as well as of John Prine, Bruce Coburn and Darrell Scott.
