Indonesian Junk Biography
These glam punk dirtbags from Milwaukee specialize in big ol’ catchy power pop hooks and big riffs. Frequently compared to the sleazy 1970s New York underground, though they’ll gladly accept those charges they are hardly a nostalgia act.
The Junk first pounced on the scene in 2014 with some home recorded demos by Chinese Telephones guitarist / Ramma Lamma bassist Daniel James. James quickly recruited former Nerve Twin Johnny Cyanide on bass and Mike Mattner from 1956 and The Slurs on drums. The most recent addition to the group is second guitarist Adam Turetzky.
Since then they have recorded four full length albums, and a handful of singles, EPs, and live tapes. They have toured the US and Canada multiple times. Their fifth album LIVING IN A NIGHTMARE was released in March of 2021.
