About this concert
Legendary singer, songwriter, Grammy award winner, and western historian Michael Martin Murphey will headline this year’s La Plata County’s “Friday at the Fair” on August 13th. He will take the stage at the La Plata County Fairgrounds Rodeo Arena at 8:00, rain or shine.
Bayfield native and country-western singer, songwriter Tyller Gummersall kicks off the show at 7:15. Gates will open at 5:30. Reserved seating $45 and General Admission $25 (plus ticketing fees). Tickets for this exceptional evening will go on sale in the middle of June at www.durangoconcerts.com. This year’s event will mark the 4th Fair Concert in 5 years. Tyller Gummersall Biography
Singer/Songwriter Tyller Gummersall grew up working on ranches and playing Dancehalls in the Rocky Mountains.
A skilled and soulful guitar player, Ty has been mentored since the age of 8 by Gary Cook (2 time national flat pick champion and Bar D Wrangler). And when it comes to Songwriting he’s been taken underwing by the likes of Tony Arata and Jim Lauderdale, legends who have written hits for Garth Brooks and George Strait.
Tyller has played his brand of neo-traditional country to many supportive fans across the U.S. and opened for major acts such as John Anderson, Rodney Atkins, Robert Earl Keen, Josh Turner and Jim Lauderdale.
