The Band’s performance was the best one yet. The reaction of the 50-75 people attending proved that. It was a lively, interactive, perfectly paced show. Each Limbo Baby looked confident in their playing and singing and excited to be there. Limbo Baby has always exuded “great vibes “ on stage. It’s really cool to see how that has continued and even more so, it’s great to see how the musicianship and individual performances of each band member has evolved. The new song is a definite hit! Lucky #7! The revisions the band made to their original songs are exceptional - varying the tempo, building to crescendos, etc. - those songs are so good! The cover songs were terrific and everyone especially loves how Limbo Baby plays different covers for every show. The sound was great - the band masterfully adjusted their tone and volume to the room after the first two songs. Each instrument and lead singer Hannah’s vocals came through loud and clear. Ben’s playing on drums rocks. His timing and style perfectly matches with his band mates. His mix of jazz and rock beats and sounds is innovative. Jared’s guitar really rings out. While assuming a laid back posture, his playing cuts through like a knife. Love how he’s syncing with his band mates and jumping into the audience to give them a thrill! Hannah’s developed into a real performer. She exhibits a subtle yet assured “in charge” attitude during the show and establishes a rapport with the audience that’s authentic and endearing. Of course her vocals are as strong as ever. She’s front and center at the band’s “branding” efforts. Eddie’s bass playing continues to anchor the music. Each original song builds off of his creative, fun bass lines. His tone and virtuosity has developed perfectly to drive Limbo Baby’s music. Especially impressive is Eddie’s showmanship. No doubt his interest in how Flea from the RHCPs plays has influenced his “attitude” on stage. And his intentional interactions with Ben and Jared make each song exciting to see and hear. The play list for this show included a masterful build of tension, making the audience wait, teasing them prior to playing their soon to be released fist hit recording, “Baby’s Alright”. When they finally played it the crowed went wild, screaming the lyrics along with the band. Frenzied and appreciative was the crowd. Overall the band’s playing is really “tight”. Their timing and execution resembles a band with several years more experience than they actually have. Bigger more widely attended shows are definitely in their future. That’s a good thing for music fans!
