Rachel AO

Rachel AO is a singer-songwriter, and performing artist, based in Los Angeles, California. Her music combines elements of piano driven pop, soul, and folk.

The arts have always been an important part of Rachel’s upbringing. Originally from Michigan, she was heavily saturated with music and art at a young age, studying classical voice, piano, and dance. No stranger to the stage, Rachel has been performing in theatre, piano, and dance recitals, since she was four years old. At thirteen she was selected to tour Europe with the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp International Choir. In college, Rachel was selected to attend an invite-only singer-songwriter residency through the Contemporary Music Center, based on Martha’s Vineyard. It was there where she began to write, record, and perform her original works, finessing her songwriting skills. Rachel’s recent musical theatre roles include RENT (2015, Joanne Jefferson), Hairspray (2015, A Dynamite), and Jesus Christ Superstar
(2016, Mary Magdalene).

Rachel is currently in the studio in Los Angeles, creating her debut EP entitled “Closure”. Her debut single “Perfect” is available now on all streaming outlets.
