the specs

the specs are an indie rock trio from New Jersey / New York City. Started in high school between three friends, the specs began playing absolute trash music in their basements until they graduated high school and realized that they had gotten absolutely nothing accomplished. As they all went to different colleges, with Sam and Nick now living in NYC, the specs took a year and a half hiatus while they hated their lives. When they got back together in 2014, they began to actually care and write songs. They started playing shows in summer of 2015, released their first self-produced EP in 2016, and began playing more shows locally and doing short tours into 2017. They are currently in the process of recording their first full length, which will be out sometime in 2017.
