About this concert
Back by Popular demand is the undeniable Aussie powerhouse Tex Perkins, with his good mate Matt Walker for a show you do not want to miss! It is understandably difficult to pull together a coherent picture of a man whose career has included everything from the lilting, dark country of the Dark Horses, the hard-edged and snarling pub rock of the Beasts Of Bourbon, through to the evocative soundscapes of the Cruel Sea and beyond...Perkins world-weary growl is an entirely original yet archetypically Australian sound and now Tex is reuniting with Matt Walker for duo shows!Their powerful live show features songs spanning Tex's vast catalogue, as well as brand new material they have written together for their The Fat Rubber Band album.

Great to see Aussie Rock royalty at our little slice of paradise. The music was world class. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was that it could’ve been louder.

Tex Perkins Biography
Tex Perkins (real name Greg Perkins) is an iconic Australian singer-songwriter, who is widely known for fronting popular surf / roots band, The Cruel Sea, and legendary swamp / blues band, the Beasts of Bourbon. Tex has also been in Thug, James Baker Experience, The Butcher Shop, Salamander Jim, and Tex, Don and Charlie and released solo records with his own backing bands, The Dark Horses.
Born in Brisbane and currently living in Byron Bay, Tex Perkins, like Nick Cave and very few others, is one of Australia's rock and roll untouchables. A combination of talent, hard work, consistency and self-deprecating wit have effectively put Tex Perkins beyond criticism.
