The up-and-coming Swedish/American duo, 7000apart, is stepping into a high note of their music career by releasing their debut album, “We Are More”, shining a hopeful light on relationships and overcoming struggles. The story began for this husband-wife duo with Amelie leaving Sweden to attend a U.S.A high school as an exchange student, where she met Jon and they fell in love. As Amelie’s exchange year ended, 7000apart was created as a way of keeping their relationship strong while being 7000 kilometers apart. After three years of long distance, they were reunited and got married. By then, their music project had grown from having something in common to a passionate career pursuit. “Organic pop” is the best way to label the genre of the album, with powerful vocals and inspirational songwriting. “We Are More” was recorded in the heart of Sweden and contains 10 songs that bring the listener on a journey of love, hope and overcoming struggles. 7000apart Biography

7000apart has never written anything more radically honest or viscerally vulnerable than the songs on their new EP, Feel Your Feelings - Side A.

GREEN BAY WI / STOCKHOLM SE - Working with GRAMMY-winning producer and songwriter FEMKE in Nashville, 7000apart’s Sophomore EP originates from a dark place while striving towards light, levity, and hope. The directive, “Feel your Feelings,” came from Jon’s therapist during one of his darkest and most tragedy-filled points in life. This seemingly simple sentiment began to inform the art that he and Amelie were making, their songwriting sessions culminating in a new EP filled with relatable lyrics, crystalline yet earthy vocals and pop driven organic guitar riffs. The whole album is deeply self-aware and speaks to humanity through the seriousness of mental health concerns, while simultaneously respecting the necessity of making friends with one’s darkness to usher in the light.

Amelie Eiding and Jon Kresin, are a married Swedish/American Indie-pop duo that survived the uncertainty of a three-year, 7000km apart, long-distance relationship by writing heartfelt pop songs together. When they were just teens, Amelie was a Swedish exchange student in Green Bay, WI and met Jon their senior year in high school; the chemistry was immediate and their connection strengthened through music. At the end of Amelie’s exchange program, their romance was tested by being forced into a long-distance relationship. The duo got married in 2016 and Amelie moved to the U.S. ready to pursue music full-time.

In 2018 they recorded their debut album in Sweden, We Are More, a project that was successfully crowdfunded by their fans; the album was released in 2019 with their fan-favorite single, Blank Check. After performing on Sweden’s Got Talent, garnering label interest and an anticipated U.S. tour, on the verge of breaking out in 2020, the pandemic brought the whole world to a halt. 7000apart kept writing songs, building their catalog, as well as an engaged online audience through streaming which garnered them a $20,000 Kickstarter campaign to fund the production of their new EP. Since then they have released six singles, won a Best New Artist Award from WAMI and Sweden’s Rocknallen 2021. Now, touring full-time, they've played over 140 shows around the Midwest and Sweden this year while also recording “Feel Your Feelings, Side A.” This hardworking indie pop duo feels fueled by their desire to help others by further destigmatizing mental health struggles through their music. With multiple upcoming radio, tv, and print features already scheduled before the end of 2022, this ambitious, international duo shows no sign of slowing down.
