Claire Ridgely Biography
Claire Ridgely is a bilingual (French/English), Montreal-based singer/songwriter originally hailing from Northern Virginia. Claire has worked as a feature artist in the electronic music scene for several years writing and doing vocals for Said the Sky, Robotaki and Pat Lok, among others. She has since turned her energy towards her solo career as an indie pop powerhouse. Inspired by her parent’s funk tunes as a child and her pre-teen introduction to American singer-songwriters, Claire’s solo sound sits somewhere between soulful and sweet. Her music stands apart from bubble-gum pop, expressing authentic and personal stories. Claire's music has been enthusiastically received by the likes of Billboard, Earmilk, American Songwriter and Radio Canada.
A participant in the Canadian Music Publishers Association songwriting camp in June 2019, a graduate of the 2020 SOCAN Incubator for Creative Entrepreneurship, and recipient of the FACTOR Artist Development grant, Claire continues to carve out her space in the Canadian music scene and hone her creative capabilities. She is excited to continue to build her solo career, bringing her alternative pop sound and engaging live show to larger audiences.
