Last Thursday are set to release their next single, 'I Hear' and are coming to Transit Bar to celebrate it with you! Last Thursday are the unacknowledged love children of bands such as Middle Kids, Last Shadow Puppets and Last Dinosaurs, alongside deeper roots in a mix of disco, classic rock and "anything sad, with a band, or simply whistled". The band continues to evolve, and with the unforeseen events of 2020 reigning in live performances, the group found the perfect opportunity to develop and enrich their sound through recording and experimentation. Last Thursday is Euan Hart, John Bilsel, Jaspar McCahon-Boersma, & Christian Amore. All born and raised in Sydney’s Inner West, the band met and started the band in high school, releasing their first, eponymous EP in 2016. Their sound has changed dramatically since, hitting positive nerves with Only Man, which released in 2018 to great domestic and international feedback. Always Happy dropped in 2019, becoming a staple of the live set and a true fan favourite. In the months and years following its release, Last Thursday sold out shows at The Vanguard, The Record Crate, the Oxford Art Factory Gallery, Boogie Mountain, and others. Last Thursday are shaping up for 2021 to be their biggest year yet. As they build towards their second EP with the releases of Tamed and I Hear, as well as their first East Coast Tour, things are looking brighter for these 21 year olds making songs out of bad life choices.
