Avril Lavigne Biography
Avril Lavigne is a Canadian singer- songwriter and 8-time Grammy nominated global superstar who has sold more than 40 million albums worldwide. She hit the music scene at just 17 with the release of her debut studio album Let Go in 2002. The record sold more than 16 million copies worldwide and featured hit singles “Complicated” and “Sk8er Boi.” Lavigne went on to cement herself as the queen of pop punk music with her continued commercial success from the release of 4 more follow-up studio albums: Under My Skin (2004), The Best Damn Thing (2007), Goodbye Lullaby (2011) and Avril Lavigne (2013). In February 2019, she released her first new album in 5 years, Head Above Water, which debuted in the Top 10 upon its release. The record’s title track and lead single are Platinum and Gold certified by the RIAA in Canada and the U.S. respectively.
