"It's 6:30! Time to Make the Music!" Oh how those words and the time that has followed have brought so much comfort, healing and inspiration to my heart and to the hearts of many of you during these challenging months of the pandemic. When I did my first Facebook Live Stream on March 16th, I thought maybe I would go live every weekday until masks are no longer required. Oh how I have loved staying connected with so many friends, old and new, singing songs that I've sung for years, and learning new ones you've requested. It made my heart pound each time I would sing a song that I knew you really love. And oh what fun it was to learn my friends' songs! I thought my heart was going to burst right out of my chest thinking about how I feel when I hear someone singing one of my songs! And when you requested songs I made up, oh what a wonderful feeling! One request I have yet to make time to fulfill though is to create new music you can stream and download. I need to record these songs I've been singing, and write some new ones. Most of the songs I have on Spotify are 20 years old. So, instead of learning so many great songs that other amazing people wrote, I'm going to record and write. So... let's celebrate our weekday hangouts and a shift into a new beginning with a glorious finale! I'll continue to live stream on Thursdays so we can continue writing a song together each week. Oh what a fun collaboration time! AND my 2 Second Life shows on Wednesdays will also still be streamed live on Facebook at 7pm & 9pm EST. Any other live streams will be announced, and maybe some will be random surprises. We'll see how this flows. I'm open to your suggestions and cravings. Thank you so very much for joining me again and again to be a part of the music, singing and playing along, sharing your stories as I share mine, turning me onto so many great songs with your requests. Thank you for your wonderful suggestions and contributions to make the music more amazing! Thank you for giving me and my incredibly amazing kids something to look forward to.
