After securing a deal with A&M Records, Allgood was part of the 1993 H.O.R.D.E. tour along with Blues Traveler, Widespread Panic, and Col. Bruce Hampton and the ARU. Over its eight-year initial run, Allgood took the stage at places ranging from Red Rocks to the Ranch Bowl [for real - a bowling alley] often appearing with other new bands like Dave Matthews Band, Gov't Mule, and Phish. At other times, Allgood opened for rock giants like The Band, Neil Young, and the Allman Brothers Band. Allgood broke up in 1995, yet somewhat mysteriously none of its members stayed in the music business. Like an endangered species, since the early 2010s, Allgood has played a few select shows, roughly every two years. When Allgood plays, veteran fans remember why their 90s run was so magical, and a new generation gets to be part of the action. Some report fatigue, headache, and muscle soreness the following day. For 2021, Allgood brings its own brand of classic Georgia boogie-woogie back for a run across the southeast. With original members Corky Jones (vocals, guitar), Mike Sain (bass, vocals) and Clay Fuller (lead guitar), each Allgood appearance features songs from its 1990s era albums Ride The Bee and Uncommon Goal. This spring, Allgood will also unleash material from a project currently in the works. THE BITTEROOTS Since its founding in 2008, The Bitteroots’ groove-oriented rock ‘n’ roll has drawn comparisons to the Tedeschi Trucks Band, Melissa Etheridge and Janis Joplin, and has earned the band frequent appearances onstage at some of the Southeast’s most prestigious venues and music festivals. The Bitteroots' latest full-length album is currently in production and slated for release in the first half of 2021. The band's fifth album of original music, "Derailer," was released in March 2019. Driven by Laura Dees’ powerful, soulful lead vocals, the band also includes founding members Bill Taylor (bass, backing vocals) and Mike Davis (drums). Derron Nuhfer joined the group in 2014, adding saxophone to what has become the band’s unique sonic signature. Hard-driving guitarist PJ Poellnitz joined the band in 2018. The Bitteroots have shared the stage with: Butch Trucks (The Allman Brothers Band), Kool & The Gang, Mavis Staples, Jeff Tweedy (Wilco), Everclear, Drivin’ n’ Cryin’, Freddy Jones Band, Allgood Music Company, Col. Bruce Hampton, Arrested Development, Jupiter Coyote, 7 Walkers (Bill Kreutzmann of The Grateful Dead), Elephant Revival, The Milk Carton Kids, George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Anders Osborne, Coy Bowles (Zac Brown Band), The Ries Brothers, Dead Confederate, Michelle Malone, Cigar Store Indians, Adron, The Shadowboxers, Ruby Velle & The Soulphonics, Delta Moon, Eliot Bronson, Sydney Rhame, Tedo Stone, honeyhoney, Mother’s Finest and many other great bands and artists.

The Bitteroots Biography

The Bitteroots are an Atlanta/Decatur-based original jam-rock band founded in 2008. Fronted by female vocalist Laura Dees, the band has a sound that’s been called a “unique brand of soulful rock.” The Bitteroots’ groove-oriented approach to rock n roll has drawn comparisons to the Tedeschi-Trucks Band, Melissa Etheridge and Janis Joplin. From pop melodies to extended jams, The Bitteroots’ sets run the gamut with something for everybody.
Along with Dees, an accomplished songwriter and powerful singer who joined the band in 2010, The Bitteroots also include founding members Bill Taylor on bass and Mike Davis on drums. Guitarist Kyle Bryant joined The Bitteroots in 2013 and saxophonist Derron Nuhfer became an official member in September 2014.

The Bitteroots have released four compilations of original music, the latest being the single “Under the Big Sky,” recorded in the fall of 2013 at The Music Farm studio by Mark van Allen (Govt. Mule, Indigo Girls, Blueground Undergrass, Zac Brown Band, Whiskey Gentry). The melodic title track is accompanied by two bonus tracks, the hard-rocking “Defenseless” and a re-tooled version of “Try Me Again” which first appeared on the band’s debut release, “French Fries,” in 2011.

Other releases include 2012’s full-length “Central of Georgia” and 2013’s “After The Rain.”

The Bitteroots have shared the stage with: Butch Trucks (The Allman Brothers Band),The Freddy Jones Band, Allgood, Col. Bruce Hampton, Arrested Development, 7 Walkers (Bill Kreutzmann of The Grateful Dead), Elephant Revival, The Milk Carton Kids, George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Anders Osborne, Coy Bowles (Zac Brown Band), Dead Confederate, Michelle Malone, Cigar Store Indians, Adron, The Deadfields, The Sundogs, The Shadowboxers, Ruby Velle & The Soulphonics, Delta Moon, The District Attorneys, Lindsay Rakers Band, Eliott Bronson, Sydney Rhame, Tedo Stone, Saint Francis, HoneyHoney, and many other great bands and artists.
