Marisa Anderson, William Tyler, and Yasmin Williams are three of the most creative and idiosyncratic guitarists on the music scene today. Big Ears has brought them together at the Loghaven Artist Residency to film for the festival’s ’Sites & Sounds’ streaming initiative. Performing solo, duo, and trio at this bucolic South Knoxville site, you’ll get to see and hear this exceptional assembly of musicians at work amongst their peers. The stream will be hosted on Mandolin.com. Tickets are $14 (plus service charges) in advance and $16 (plus service charges) on the day of show. For those unable to watch the initial stream, it will be available on replay for 48 hours after the initial stream. (Note: tickets may only be purchased, however, before or during the initial broadcast.)

Yasmin Williams Biography
With a compositional style that's relaxing as well as inventive, acoustic fingerstyle guitarist Yasmin Williams specializes in lap tapping, a technique that involves playing the guitar with both hands over the fretboard as it rests face-up on the player's lap. Incorporating tapped harmonics, bowing, percussive strikes, alternative tunings, and even tap shoes into her sound, she landed on the Billboard Heatseekers chart with her debut album, 2018's Unwind. She expanded her instrumentation to include a harp guitar and African instruments such as kora and kalimba, and released her second album, Urban Driftwood, to widespread critical acclaim in 2021.
