Pet Biography

Pet is a Hard Rock three- piece from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Formed in September 2014 after singer and guitarist Judd Carson, met drummer Cameron Glenn in college while studying Music Production. Often tossing around the idea of forming a band. It didn’t happen until later; as did finding out they were actually cousins. Once the two started playing it was an instant click. Which was no different when bassist Keith Royalty joined “Pet” in early 2015 after reaching out to Judd with a simple “You have a bassist yet?” right after watching a video of Judd and Cameron jamming together. Keith went to school throughout the years with Judd, and the two even played little league sports together. So there were deeper histories that led to the formation of “Pet.” The synergistic bond also reflected in the three guys sound. It was a connection relative to their past, musically. Almost immediately building songs, practicing multiple times a week throughout 2015. “Pets” first show was September 5th 2015 in Tulsa, Ok.; a show that was played to roughly 15-20 people for a benefit at a bar. (That never had a band play there before.) You wouldn’t of known that was “Pets” first show. While many bands play odd shows in the beginning, “Pet” did as well. In 2016 they played 23 shows, building a fan base; and making a local name. Playing songs that stuck in the minds of people that would become fans of “Pet.” The music has been compared to a sound reminiscent of 90’s Hard Rock, Grunge, and Alternative; nostalgic, but also modern with a distinctive sound. “Pet” creates songs to suit different moods, stylistically, and lyrically.
