David Ward Music Biography
The voice Rising Artists proclaimed, "could move mountains." Vancouver's David Ward has spent the last 10 years steadily building an inventive and soulful body of work. His critical acclaim spans Clash magazine, "...a singular talent," Songwriting Magazine, "...a bravely ambitious and gifted songwriter..." and The Guardian, "Most likely to be assured of a golden future."
Having toured Canada, the UK and Europe, Ward is building a name for himself at a monthly residency at Seattle's soul, funk and jazz venue, Sea Monster Lounge.
His most recent album, LoZ is a dance floor spectacular. Stylish and sultry R&B blends with impeccable falsetto and gospel undertones. An artist ever-keen to challenge himself, he is back in the studio, working on a new album of expansive, orchestrated ballads about love and loss, as well as a project of shimmering freaky dance music. Ward rolls out new music in the spring.
