Join us, ONLINE, for our October show, with super-bassist, Josh Cohen! You remember Josh? He played at our Bach Festival and helped us do the Bach Storybook Walk with the kids at the Chain and Waupaca Elementary schools. He is incredibly talented and unique in the world of classical and jazz music.
We will be live on Facebook, on the WLL page, at 7pm. Join hosts Marci Beaucoup and Deb Gehrke as they interview him and share his music, live on zoom!

The Music of Josh Cohen Biography
Short Description of Performance:
Josh Cohen's solo 6-string electric bass performances use extended techniques to create the sound of an entire band, with only one instrument, and without the aid of loop pedals. When listeners hear Josh playing his originals and arrangements for the first time, they are often surprised to find out that everything they are hearing is being created by one person in real-time.
Bio:
Josh Cohen is a 6-string electric bassist, composer, session musician, songwriter and music educator based in Madison, Wisconsin who travels frequently throughout the United States to perform and teach clinics/workshops. Josh has garnered a lot ofattention for his solo electric bass compositions and arrangements. His arrangement of Herbie Hancock’s Chameleon was ranked as the number 1 bass video of 2015 by No Treble magazine. His 2014 solo electric bass album Out of the Bassment features 100% solo bass arrangements and compositions without any loops, multitracking or time-based effects.
Josh holds a bachelor of music from Humber College and a masters in music composition from York University.
