Memories from Saint-Forget (2021) is Swedish recording artist Peter von Poehl’s 5th studio album, whose solo career began in 2006 with Going to Where the Tea Trees Are, an inaugural album with critical and commercial success led by the single The Story of the Impossible, which has since become a classic. Followed by albums May Day (2009), Big Issues Printed Small (2013) and Sympathetic Magic (2017), his music can equally be heard on numerous film scores such as Heart Breaker, Declaration of War, Main dans la Main, Hippocrates or Ravens, for which v Poehl was awarded Guldbaggen, the Swedish equivalent of an Oscar for Best Original Music in 2018. Together with Marie Modiano, his companion in life and on stage, v Poehl has collaborated on a dozen albums and numerous stage performances mixing literature and music, most recently Songs from The Other Side, premiered at Centre Pompidou in Paris in December 2019.
