Puerto Peñasco, otherwise known as Rocky Point, is very much dependent on tourism from mainly US Border states, but also from Canada and all over the world. The recent pandemic has had a crushing effect on the people of Puerto Peñasco. Between border closures, city protocols and local government restrictions, tourism is pretty much non-existent at this point.
