About this concert
Australias favourite musical misfits and auteurs of Aussie hip hop, Butterfingers are back, breaking hearts and bones (mostly their own) with a killer new tour! With a host of industry awards, multiple ARIA award noms, a bunch of features in Hottest 100 countdowns, and playing just about every major festival on the Australian circuit over the years, Butterfingers have continued to develop their unique and supremely high energy and fun sound throughout their career. As ever, there’s a lot for fans to look forward to at the upcoming shows, as Eddie reveals, “We all know how hard it can be to win a crowd over with new material, no matter how awesome it is, so even though we’ll be playing a fair chunk of this new stuff we obviously aren’t going to ignore the back catalogue either. It’ll be a nice blend and the energy will be pretty hectic!”Butterfingers is Evil Eddie (vocals, guitar), Olly Thomas (keys, samples, percussion), Bradzilla Cochrane (bass) and Tony McCall (drums).

Butterfingers Biography

There are 2 bands that perform under the name Butterfingers; an Australian hip-hop/rock group and a Malaysian rock band.

1. Butterfingers is an Australian hip-hop/rock group, from Brisbane, Queensland. They are known for their amusing lyrics & taboo subject matter.

Their first two singles “Everytime” and “I Love Work”, became instant hits with Triple J listeners when they were released in 2003. They reached positions 15 and 38 respectively in the Triple J Hottest 100 of that year. The “Breakfast at Fatboys” album remained in the top ten of the ARIA Independent charts for about a year. In June 2005 they released their new singles, FIGJAM and Jesus I Was Evil (a cover of the song by Darcy Clay), both songs went into high rotation on Triple J and placed 11th and 69th respectively in the 2005 Triple J Hottest 100. FIGJAM, in October 2005, was nominated for the Best Urban Release ARIA Award. The band released a second album, entitled “The Deeper You Dig” in June 2006, and a single “Nothing Much Happens” in late 2007.

A brand new album 'Bad News' was release in April 2020 with singles 'Dancing (to the beat of my own drum)' and 'Bad News' being dubbed instant classics by music media and fans alike.
