About this concert
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, Arlington Arts is forging ahead with Lubber Run Live on WERA 96.7 FM – LIVE performances and discussions broadcast weekly with host Ken Avis (The Antidote), Saturdays at 5:00pm, July 11 through August 8, 2020 (live streaming on www.wera.fm/ ). The lineup is brimming with a mixture of toe-tapping Amphitheater favorites, and a splash of new talent, including: The Jogo Project (July 11); Nkula (July 18); Caz Gardiner (July 25); Justin Jones (Aug 01); and Lauren Calve (Aug 08).
Caz Gardiner, 2019 Wammie (Washington DC Area Music Association) nominee for best Soul Artist/Group, grew up listening to jazz, Caribbean music, soul, blues, rock, mod and punk. Caz is a high energy performer who writes songs of overcoming struggles and celebrating life with a Soul Rock and Reggae sound that is as diverse and driving as she is. Caz has shared the stage with Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, Lee Fields and the Impressions, The London Souls, The Selecter, Don Bryant and Nikki Hill.

She's got the rock! She's got the soul! She's got the reggae! She's got the moves and the band to deliver the grooves!
Caz Gardiner is a Washington, D.C.-based singer/songwriter who performs soulful rock and reggae with her own backing band.
She has performed with the BandHouse Gigs, Newmyer Flyer productions and The Beat Hotel. She was the lead singer for The Ambitions, a 60's influenced soul/rock band which in 2008 was nominated for a Wammie (Washington Area Music Association) in the best new band category; and the rocksteady/reggae band Caz and The Day Laborers. In 2010, she was nominated for a Wammie in the best traditional blues/RnB vocalist category for her work with Caz and The Commotions.
Caz performed with The Checkered Cabs, The New York Ska Jazz Ensemble and the Victor Rice Octet. Caz has recorded with most of these artist and many others in the United States and abroad.
